Hacking Life with Diabetes
Project – Bill Runs in the Woods – April 27, 2019
This project is a 53 mile trail run to raise awareness of and funds for the incredible resources provided by BeyondTypeOne.org and Type OneRun.org for people with type 1 diabetes.
“Type 1 diabetes is invisible, lonely, + exhausting. It requires constant management, every minute of every day + night. It takes a physical, social, + psychological toll on every patient + those closest to them. Type One Run is a tool to turn all of that on its head, created by and belonging to every person affected by T1D. We empower and lift one other up, + drive each other forward, creating positivity + strength out of our condition.”
– Craig Stubing, Co-founder Type One Run
Beyond Type 1 and Type One Run are unique charities in that they are not solely focused on a cure, but also provide a wide range of services which improve the lives of those with type 1 diabetes immediately and every day.
If you are interested in supporting them please consider making a donation here or put Project Bill Runs in the Woods in the “specific fundraiser or team” box on either sites’ donation page.
